So not only did you teach me about writing memoir, you also taught me about reading and thinking about how others write memoir. Thank you so much! Rebecca

Isn't it great to spend all day with writers and poets, writing and revising poetry and finishing the day off by  having dinner with former writing students who are now my close friends?
That was my day today. Coffee with the Poets this morning at Cafe Touche, having time to sit in  on Mary Mike Keller's class at Writers Circle, and spending about an hour on my collection of poems, revising and writing new work; That and having a delicious dinner at Enrico's restaurant with Ginny and Nadine, two former students from a class at Tri-County College. How could life get any better than that?

Ginny and Nadine, special friends

Looking at my calendar for the next month and a half I see that I have little time to sit in solitude at home and just write.
I'll have to take time in the evenings which I enjoy doing, and then sleep late in the morning. Don't call me before ten o'clock. I will not get out of bed and answer the phone.

I will begin a series of classes on September 27 at my studio. See sidebar or Schedule page. We will meet on certain Tuesday mornings for classes in poetry, non-fiction, and fiction. Give yourself a treat. Sign up for the course or take individual classes.

We are very excited to have Scott Owens, poet, teacher and publisher, hold a workshop on October 15 at Writers Circle. See Schedule page for details. His class is half filled already.

Maureen Ryan Griffin is teaching at Writers Circle on October 29. Her classes are always delightful. I've been her student at the John Campbell Folk school more than once and have written or begun writing some of my best work from her interesting prompts. Maureen is a professional writer and teacher. See her website.
She is author of several books including Spinning Words into Gold. Read more about this class on the Schedule page of  Writers Circle around the table.
