When a friend takes you in and gives you a bed to rest your weary body,
when a friend goes to great length to make your stay as safe and healthy as she can, when a friend gives you the key to her house and lets you sleep as long as you absolutely need to sleep, when a friend gives you directons carefully and diligently marked on multiple maps because she knows you are likely to get lost, when a friend cares, it makes all the difference.
Thank you, Lana.
So not only did you teach me about writing memoir, you also taught me about reading and thinking about how others write memoir. Thank you so much! Rebecca
